We will give you all the right information needed not only to buy that perfect wig, but also step by step instructions for beginner friendly installation.

First you need to know the type of lace wig to buy. There are four main types of lace wigs, lace

frontal wigs, Lace closure, full lace wigs, and 360° lace wigs. In fact, the most important differences are in the size of the internal lace area on the cap.

  • Lace Frontal Wigs:

A lace frontal wigs is a half wig which goes from ear to ear and is sewn with approximately 3-4 bundles of hair. Most lace front wigs are made from machine while the lace attached to the wig is handmade.

You can choose between two options: 13x4 or 13x6 lace front wigs.

One of the biggest perks of wearing a lace frontal wig is the versatility it offers, which allows you to personally style your wigs however you want. These wigs give a natural hairline, so you have the freedom to style your hair as desired.

  • Lace Closure Wigs:

A lace closure wig is the go-to wig for women who love middle part and simple hairstyles. It is super easy to install, beginner friendly and easy for every day. Unlike other lace wigs, owning a lace front wig doesn’t require a lot of experience to care for and maintain it.

A closure wig consists of only a small square of lace. Typically, the standard lace size is 4x4 (4 inches long and 4 inches wide) but they’re also available in 5x5 lace and 6x6 lace. These types of wigs are available in many different styles which include the three-part, free part, and middle part. Three-part closures allow you to part the hair in three different ways while the middle part closures only give you one style option.

  • Full lace wigs:

The base of the full lace wig is completely made of lace and are more versatile than the other lace wigs because they can be styled in almost infinite ways. The hairs on the wig are fully handtied.

Because it is all made by lace, the prices of these wigs are quite expensive and requires extensive wig wearing skills to install.

  • 360° lace wigs:

The 360° lace wig are designed with a sheer lace around the whole hairline from the beginning to the end attached to the circle of the wig. Similar to the full lace wig, the lace 360° wig gives you a lot of styling options; you can easily style your wig into a ponytail, braids, or a high bun.

  2. Lace Bob

  3. Lace closure

However, if you wish to wear a more advance lace frontal wig this is our suggestion.

What you'll need:

Braids, Cornrows, twist, ponytail : the idea is getting your own hair as flat as possible for a super natural look.

Wig cap/ Stocking cap:

Use a stocking cap to keep your hair close to your head, this will create a smooth flat surface. You can also use styling gel or hair spray to help secure the cap in place and follow up with a cool blow dry. If using a stocking cap , trim excess fabric away from the forehead after it is completely dried. This will create a seamless base for your wig.

Wig Grip

The wig grip will keep the lace front wig securely in your hair. Also, the benefits of using a wig grip is, it comes in different colours. Buy the color that matches your skin. The colours are usually black, brown, and beige. you can buy these directly from our online store.

Hair spray

It is a very common method of putting on the lace front wig, this method is temporary but works well. The first thing you will need to do is to put on the lace front wig normally. Now, you will need to cut the laces that are extra on the wig. Make sure that the corners of the lace is trimmed properly. It is time to use a hairspray.

You can use any hair spray from a renowned brand. Take the hairspray and spray it through the hairline. Divide your hair into little sections and spray one section at a time and either use a blowdryer with cold air to dry the spot or tie the area around the head with a silk or satin scarf. Then it's done.

Wig Glue (Least recommended)

The stocking cap method is very important for this step.

After safely securing your stocking cap , dab rubbing alcohol along your hairline where you'll place the wig glue. Alcohol removes oil and makeup that can interfere with the glue sticking to the wig.

Put the lace front wig on and adjust it where you want it to be secured- if you need extra help remembering where to place your lace, you can use an eyeliner to mark points to mimic your hairline. Cut the excess lace off around the ear and hairline. be careful not to cut too much off.

Place the glue along the edge of your stocking cap at the hairline, avoid placing glue on your hair.

Blow dry the glue on a cool setting. the glue shouldn't be too wet or der.

Pull your wig forward over the top of the glue and make sure it is in the desired spot before pressing the lace onto the glued spot.

after everything is properly set and dried, clean excess glue with rubbing alcohol

Style your new wig and enjoy.
